Alergio checks the product against our massive product database. If you scan a barcode, we look up its ingredients. If a product isn't in the database, our unique Text Scanner uses OCR to read the physical label directly, giving you double the protection.
Yes! Our Text Scanner and Travel Cards work 100% offline, making Alergio the perfect companion for airplanes, foreign supermarkets with no data, or areas with poor reception.

We rely on an extensive global product database, which is constantly updated. However, product formulations can change. That's why we always recommend using our Text Scanner as a secondary check and ultimately reading the physical label yourself.
Please understand that Alergio is a reference tool, not a medical device. While we strive for accuracy, no app is infallible. If you have a life-threatening anaphylactic allergy, you must ALWAYS verify the product label with your own eyes and carry your emergency medication.
Subscriptions are managed directly through your Apple ID settings. You can cancel or change your plan there at any time. Alergio does not handle billing directly.
